Nouns
- A noun is a word that names a person, a place, or thing.
Singular Nouns vs. Plural Nouns
- A noun that names only one person, place, or thing is called a
singular noun.
- A noun that names more than one is called a plural noun.
Proper Nouns vs. Common Nouns
- Proper nouns are nouns which begin with a capital letter because it is
the name of a specific or particular person place or thing.
- Most nouns are common nouns and do not begin with a capital letter.

Adjectives
- An adjective is a word that describes or gives more information about
a noun or a pronoun. An adjective can tell what kind or how many.

Verbs
- A verb is a word that can show action. When a verb tells what people
or things do it is called an action verb.
- A present tense verb shows action that is happening now.
- A past tense verb shows action that has already happened.
- A future tense verb shows action that will happen.
